The singer already has seven kids, but only one of those was conceived with current wife Penny Lancaster.
“They would dearly love a younger brother or sister for Alastair and they will continue to try until it happens,” a spokesperson for the couple told the Daily Mail.
“Everyone is wishing them luck.”
Rod isn’t the only OAP to be hankering after a new baby this week, but luck isn’t exactly the wish that everyone was passing on to Elizabeth Adeney, a businesswoman widely lambasted for being pregnant, aged 66.
“I don’t have to defend what I have done,” she said. “It’s a very private thing and I don’t expect anyone else to understand it.”
