“She talked about what songs she wanted for the album – it’s going to be a case of trying to pin her down to her favourite ten.”

Nailed on to be included in the ten track long LP is I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables, the song which helped her to overnight worldwide internet super-stardom.

There is also talk the Britain’s Got Talent runner-up will include a duet with her hero, musical stalwart Elaine Paige, possibly Don’t Cry for Me Argentina, from Evita.

Boyle’s well-documented health troubles – she suffered from exhaustion after the BGT final – means she is only likely to perform in some of the tour arranged to celebrate the series.
