RUSSELL BRAND has played down rumours he is to take a role in the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

“There’s been some talk of doing a Pirates movie,” he admitted. “But, I’ve got eight other things to do […] so I don’t know if there’ll be time to be a pirate; I’ve got enough of that in me private life.
“I am rather busy.”
The idea was that Brand would play the brother of Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow character.
Meanwhil, Brand has been snubbed by big-name TV chat show host Martha Stewart, on the grounds he is “too kinky”.
Brand is in the US on a promotion tour for his Booky Wook autobiography and snagged a slot on the ever popular David Letterman show.
But the more wholesome Stewart show passed on the chance to feature the comedian.
“They banned me for being too kinky,” was how Brand put it.
