Reggie Yates is to front a new singing show featuring Tourette’s Syndrome sufferers.

The DJ – who is set to co-host The Voice with Holly Willoughby later this month – has signed up to present Tourette’s Superstar on BBC Three, a follow up to last year’s documentary I Swear I Can Sing.
The programme followed the story of Tourette’s sufferer Ruth Ojadi, 25, and she will return alongside fellow sufferers Steve Ley, 25, and Greg Storey, 18.
A source told The Sun: “Most documentaries about Tourette’s just focus on the swearing but this one looks at the whole spectrum and reveals the people behind the syndrome. Filming has been emotional, uplifting and fun.”
The first two shows follow the group as they meet and train together to prepare for their first live show, which will be seen in the final instalment of the series.
Ruth has late-onset Tourette’s, which began when she was 16, with facial twitching and blinking and she also suffers from motor and vocal tics including swearing.
Steve’s symptoms include hitting himself, spitting and swearing, but they all disappear when he sings.
Greg has tics which sometimes put him in danger, such as nearly throwing himself out of windows or moving cars.
However, he thinks his drumming skills have helped improve his Tourette’s.
