Prince William has admitted he practised using a car-seat before strapping Prince George into his car for the first time, a moment met with general acclaim after being captured live on TV.

“Believe me, it wasn’t my first time,” he told CNN.
“I had to practise, I really did.
“I was terrified that it [Prince George] was going to fall off or the door wasn’t going to close properly. So, I had actually practised with that seat.”

The two new pictures feature the four-week-old baby cradled in the arms of his mother Duchess Catherine, while royal dad Prince William beams with pride for the camera.
Kensington Palace says the snaps were taken by the Duchess’s dad Michael Middleton in “early August” in the back garden of the Middleton family home in Bucklebury, Berkshire.
In the first shot, the Duke and Duchess are backlit by a burst of sun as they smile for the camera. A second picture sees the young family joined by their pet cocker spaniel Lupo.
The pictures mark a change from the way the royal couple have previously released official pictures from their engagement in 2010 and their wedding in 2011. For those occasions, William and Catherine opted for pictures taken by top photographers Mario Testino and Hugo Bernand.
Prince George was born on July 22 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London.
