Pippa Middleton is reportedly planning to move to New York in a bid to salvage her reputation.

The sister of the Duchess of Cambridge aka Kate Middleton hopes moving to America could help her keep a low profile after last month’s gun photo scandal in Paris.

A source told Grazia magazine: “Pippa had been considering a move to Paris. But now that’s off the list she has been investigating her options in America.”

“She would love to move to New York as she’ll be spending time there when her book launches in the autumn.”

Pippa was caught in a media frenzy in Paris last month after the driver of the Audi convertible in which she was riding pointed a gun at a photographer. Further controversy occurred after it emerged Pippa had attended a wild fancy-dress party involving strippers and dwarves the night before.

Her close friend Marcy de Soultrait claimed the gun was a “toy”, but worsened matters by branding the incident, punishable by a two-year jail sentence in France, a “joke”.

He said: “I have spoken with Pippa. She thinks this is all a joke and a funny game. We were just having a laugh. We are funny people, it’s what we do.”

Pippa was not questioned by French police due to lack of evidence, but has since quit her job at catering company Table Talk and actively avoided the London party scene.

A move to New York would help protect her privacy and conveniently coincide with the launch of her party-planning guide, Celebrate, in October.
