It’s taken the loss of true love Kate Moss and about a zillion attempts, but the singer, who celebrates his 30th birthday today now says he is clean.
“I’m off that kind of stuff, yeah,” Doherty told The Sun. “Complete abstinence is what they advocate – but the odd gin and tonic’s all right, isn’t it?”
“I’ve come into my own head a little bit really, being a bit more honest and open, rather than hiding in a crack pipe or wherever and just not turning up most of the time.”
Doherty has a solo album called Grace/Wastelands coming out soon.
