Woody Harrelson has accidentally confirmed his No Country for Old Men co-star Javier Bardem is dating Penelope Cruz.

Harrelson was presenting Bardem with the Montecito Award, to recognise his contribution to the movie industry, at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival yesterday (29.01.08), when he let slip the Spanish actor is dating Cruz.
He said: “I can’t believe the luck Javier has. If you look at his biography – one page is just describing his journey and then the second page is all of the awards he’s won. And not to mention, I found this out last night too – he’s going out with
Penelope Cruz!”
When Harrelson mentioned Cruz, the crowd cheered and shouted their support as 38-year-old Bardem laughed and put his head in his hands. While the pair have never confirmed they are dating, they were pictured frolicking in the Maldives last autumn, and have since been spotted out on a series of dates.
Upon receiving his award, Bardem – who has also been nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar at the upcoming Academy Awards for his role in No Country For Old Men – said: “When I saw the invitation to this from my agent, I said ‘I don’t get it.’ When I saw the theatre it was huge – I thought it was going to be smaller.
“When I saw the crowd, I said ‘I don’t get it. Why me? Why? Why? Why me, tonight?’ And then I said ‘You know what? I don’t want to know!’ Instead I receive this as the greatest honour of my life.”
