The former Lost actress – who must serve 180 days in jail for breaking her probation stemming from a 2003 DUI (driving under the influence) charge – is making the most of her free time before she has to hand herself in to a Los Angeles County jail on 24 December.

She told Us Weekly magazine: “I’ve been doing a lot of spa time, a lot of reading, a lot of hiding.

“I’ve also been going out with my friends and my pals.”

The 29-year-old star was also not afraid to admit she is apprehensive about her time behind bars. When asked if she was nervous, she replied: “I’m a woman, honey!”

However, despite her impending jail sentence Rodriguez – who will not be eligible for early release or to serve her time under house arrest – still remains philosophical.

She added: “I take life as it comes, and that’s it.”

This will not be the first time Rodriguez has spent time in jail. In May, she served just four hours and 20 minutes of a two-month jail sentence for a separate charge of violating her probation after being arrested for DUI in Hawaii in 2004.

The star was released from California’s Century Regional Detention Facility because of overcrowding and subsequently had her probation extended until June 2009.
