The 49-year-old sex symbol – who plays a hideous wicked witch who believes eating stardust will give her eternal youth in new movie ‘Stardust’ – revealed she does not share her character’s fear of growing old.
Speaking at the film’s European premiere in London last night (03.10.07), Michelle said: “Well, I don’t have the secret to eternal youth, and I don’t want it.”
The ‘Hairspray’ star also confessed she found it hard playing gnarled witch Lamia as she had to wear so much prosthetic make-up for the part.
She told BANG Showbiz: “I was out of my comfort zone as an actress because I didn’t know how to act through the mask, how my facial expressions would come across. But I think it’s important to always take on new challenges and I learned to act in a new way.”
Michelle was joined on the red carpet – which had been transformed into an enchanted forest – by co-stars Sienna Miller, Ricky Gervais and Charlie Cox.
‘Stardust’ director Matthew Vaughn was accompanied by his wife Claudia Schiffer.
Take That, who recorded a song for the soundtrack, were also at the premiere.
