MICHAEL JACKSON’S This Is It show at the O2 would have featured fireworks, giant fake spiders and 3D images based on the famous Thriller video.

“It was a groundbreaking effort,” video company boss Vince Pace told USA TODAY.

“The audience would have felt like they were visiting the Thriller experience, like they were there.”

There is a chance at least some of the show’s technical wizardry will make an appearance at the O2, if the go-ahead is given for the King of Pop’s brothers and sisters to take the tragic singer’s place at a series of what would be memorial concerts.

“I would imagine it could be done as a tribute with the family, with the brothers performing, some sisters, and the stars that were influenced by him,” said Randy Phillips, boss of This Is It promoters AEG.

“The world needs to see this production.”
