Led Zeppelin will tour without Robert Plant, they have confirmed.

It was reported earlier this month that the Whole Lotta Love rockers were rehearsing with singer Myles Kennedy after Robert refused to take part in a full reunion, and now bassist John Paul Jones has announced they are planning to go on the road without the founding member.
Speaking to BBC Radio Devon, the musician said they were trying out “a couple” of alternative singers for a proposed tour, but stressed they are not looking for a Robert sound-a-like.
John Paul said: “We want to do it. It’s sounding great and we want to get on and get out there.
“It’s got to be right. There’s no point in just finding another Robert. You could get that out of a tribute band, but we don’t want to be our own tribute band. There would be a record and a tour, but everyone has to be on board.”
Speculation has been rife that the band would tour since their one-off show in London last December, but the frontman ruled himself out of a further reunion last month.
Robert issued a statement saying: “It’s both frustrating and ridiculous for this story to continue to rear its head when all the musicians that surround the story are keen to get on with their individual projects and move forward.
“I wish Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham nothing but success with any future projects.”
