Isaac Hanson has been diagnosed with pulmonary embolism after he was rushed to hospital complaining of severe chest pains.
The 26-year-old singer, the oldest member of boyband Hanson, was taken to Baylor University Medical Centre after a show in Dallas on Tuesday night (02.10.07).
After undergoing several tests, Isaac was diagnosed by doctors as suffering with pulmonary embolism, a blockage of an artery that can stop blood supply to the lungs. His representative Ken Phillips said: “He underwent several tests throughout the night and has been diagnosed with pulmonary embolism. Isaac is currently undergoing treatment and will be re-evaluated shortly by doctors.”
Hanson, which comprises of Isaac and his younger brothers Taylor and Zac, cancelled their show in Tulsa following Isaac’s health scare.
In April, Isaac became a father for the first time when wife, Nicole, gave birth to their son Clarke Everett.
Hanson first shot to fame in 1997 with their worldwide smash hot single ‘MMMBop’. Taylor, 24, now has three children with wife Natalie, while Zac, 21, married his girlfriend of five years, Kathryn Tucker, in 2006.
