ROB KNOX will be remembered by his co-stars tonight at the premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince when Daniel Radcliffe and co. wear white ribbons in tribute.

When he was killed last year at the age of 18 while trying to defend his brother from a knife attack in Sidcup, Knox had not long finished filming the new Potter film and the death has naturally affected cast and crew.

“I won’t pretend I knew him incredibly well, or was his best friend on set, but I knew him and liked him,” said Radcliffe.

“What happened to him was tragic and awful. He was one of those guys who was liked by everyone who came into contact with him and his death casts a huge shadow.”

The idea for the ribbons, which will be worn around the wrist, came from the young actors themselves, something which Knox’s father, Colin, appreciates.

“I knew they thought a lot of Rob,” he said.

“Many of the cast came round to the house afterwards and told such wonderful stories about him. But to remember him at the premiere is lovely. I am lost for words.”
