Mark Twain may have been correct when he said: “Comedy keeps the heart sweet” – as British comedians are proving!

In fact, British comedian Harry Hill is on a roll! Not only did take home the BAFTA on the 27.04.09 for Best Entertainment Performance, but he recently took time out from filming his award winning ITV series, Harry Hill’s TV Burp, to join the likes of Ricky Gervais in creating a one-off piece of art for auction by the online cancer social network charity No Surrender.
Hill was filmed for the charity’s Boas Blog (named after founder Jason Boas) drawing, and signing, a one off canvas of Tim the Tiny Horse from his children’s book of the same name.
The blog, which also features contributions from New Kids on the Block, Franz Ferdinand and, of course, Ricky Gervais, can be viewed on No Surrender’s dedicated youtube page at www.youtube.com/theboasblog
The canvas went on auction for 10 days on eBay on Saturday, April 25th 19.00 GMT at which time fans and keen eyed collectors can place their bids by going to www.no-surrender.org/auctions/
The No Surrender Charitable Trust, created by Jason Boas, provides a unique support system for young people suffering from cancer and other life threatening illnesses through a global social networking site.
