TICKETS for next year’s Glastonbury are to go on sale next month, the festival’s organisers have announced.

It’s a fairly complicated process to get hold of a ticket, involving registration on the festival website, optional deposits and a large dose of cash, but Glasto founder Michael Eavis says all the hassle is there for the greater good.

“Every ticket will only be going to a genuine festival-goer direct,” he said.

“We have the fairest ticketing operation available anywhere. With this scheme, backed by the all-important registration process, everyone has an equal chance of getting a ticket.”

Tickets for Glastonbury 2010 go on sale on 4 October; registration is required 48 hours before that.
