The actress – who plays Agent Fields in Quantum of Solace – is concerned she may be typecast and will “never work again” after the film’s release.
She said: “Luckily, I haven’t had time to reflect but appearing with 007 carries the threat of a career crash, as has happened in the past. Sometimes it closes doors.
“People have asked me, ‘Are you worried about not getting work after Bond?’ I don’t know. I could be in the biggest film, be absolute rubbish in it and never work again.”
But the 22-year-old star has no concerns about being compared to previous Bond girls, such as Britt Ekland and Ursula Andress.
She added to the Daily Express: “I’m going to get compared but I’m not worried about it. It’s just mad and a bit surreal. My attitude to everything is just deal with what’s in front of me. I don’t tend to think far ahead.”
Gemma recently revealed she ended up in a “giggling mess” after kissing Daniel Craig, who plays the British spy in the film.
She said: “Kissing Daniel was great – I can’t pretend it wasn’t. It was my first day on set and I’d only met him once before – and then suddenly we were expected to kiss.
“He was very cool and I was a giggling mess. I mumbled something like, ‘I just kissed you!’ and he just coolly said, ‘Yes, you did. And now we have to do it again.’ Fortunately, he’s an incredible kisser.”
