Koko (pictured) is the venue for Death in Vegas’s opening salvo, the first time the Crawl has opened on the Friday night of the May Bank Holiday.

“We’re really over the moon to be playing the opening night of this brilliant festival,” said Death in Vegas’s Richard Fearless.

“We’re going to bring our full-on sonic and visual assault to Koko, our first time playing this amazing venue and first time playing Camden Crawl.”

The other acts at the Crawl are being kept under wraps until next month, but recent years have seen Madness, Plan B, Pendulum and the late Amy Winehouse, among many others, take to the Crawl’s stages.

The Crawl has grown substantially since its birth – in either 1995 or 2005, depending on how you define it – and what was once a five pub event needed 50 venues last year.

The Camden Crawl takes place from 4 to 6 May at various venues in and around Camden.
