DAVID WALLIAMS is to play an alien in Doctor Who.

The characters the comic actor plays Come Fly With Me aren’t exactly of this world either, so it might not be too much of a stretch for Walliams, who said he is “very excited” about the role.
“I’ve actually been offered a part in Doctor Who,” Walliams told BBC Radio 2.
“I’ve said yes. I don’t think I can say much, but I’ll say I’m an alien.”
Before Matt Smith was handed the role of Doctor, bookies had Walliams down as one of the favourites for the part and the Little Britain star says he is still keen.
“I think any actor wouldn’t turn that down,” said Walliams.
“I won’t be cast now though because they’re getting younger.”
As well as Walliams, Doctor Who gets another special guest in the new series in the form of Downton Abbey star Hugh The characters the comic actor plays Come Fly With Me aren’t exactly of this world eithere, who plays a pirate. Early episodes of the series, which starts in March, are set in the USA.
