New Kids on the Block singer Danny Wood always hoped the band would one day reunite.

The musician had previously denied reunion reports, insisting “there’s been no talk of this”, but has now backtracked and revealed he would love to relive the band’s past glory.
He wrote on his MySpace blog: “I wanted to clarify my post regarding the New Kids on the Block reunion. I loved being a part of the group, and have always thought ‘maybe someday we’ll get back together’ – you just never know when your someday will come.
“I can guarantee all the fans that if this reunion were to happen, they would hear about it first on our official website, www.nkotb.com.”
Danny previously tried to relaunch his singing career with MTV reality show Totally Boyband when he joined forces with other former boy band members including Another Level singer Dane Bowers to form Upper Street.
The band’s debut single The One flopped, and despite hopes it would enter the top 10 of the British charts, it only reached number 35. However, Danny has urged fans to stand by him, as he has new solo material coming out later this year.
He added on the blog: “On another note my solo record will be released in Australia in March. There are a few new songs on it and I hope you guys will check it out. Thank you so much for your continued support.”
