A SERIOUS MAN, the latest Coen Brothers movie, is one of the just-unveiled highlights of the UK Jewish Film Festival, which starts in London in November.

Set in the 60s, A Serious Man follows the disintegrating life of Larry Gopnik, a Midwestern professor, in typical black-humour style.

Other highlights of the 12-day festival include a selection of films on the Bar Mitzvah theme – this is the 13th UKJFF, geddit? – and Adam Resurrected, starring Jeff Goldblum (pictured) and directed by Paul Schrader, writer of the legendary Taxi Driver.

The UK Jewish Film Festival runs from 7-19 November at more than a dozen London venues including the BFI on the South Bank and the Barbican.

It then goes on a UK tour.
