CHRIS MOYLES has been given a dressing down by his BBC bosses after making a joke on his live radio show which included the word “Auschwitz”.

The Radio 1 DJ is currently filming an episode of Who Do You Think You Are? – the show which traces celebs’ family trees – and told listeners that, “unlike a lot of the Who Do You Think You Are? shows I didn’t go to Auschwitz and pretty much everybody goes there, whether or not they’re Jewish, or not.
“They always kind of end up there you know if they just pass through on their way to Florida or something.”
The BBC fielded complaints about the joke, which was seen as taking a deadly serious subject in vain and promised that their star DJ would be told off.
“His comments were misjudged and we are speaking to Chris and his team about them,” said a spokesperson for the broadcaster.
