Charlotte Church has named her new daughter Ruby Megan Henson.

The 21-year-old singer – who gave birth to the 6lb 12oz baby girl, her first child with her rugby star boyfriend Gavin Henson, on Thursday (20.09.07) –
revealed the tot’s name on her personal website.
In an announcement entitled Welcome to Ruby Megan Henson, the webmaster wrote: “I’ve just been chatting to Charlotte and she told me that she and Gavin have chosen the name Ruby for their baby daughter.
“Ruby was born at 10.35pm last Thursday and weighed in at 6 pounds 12 ounces, exactly the same weight that Charlotte was when she was born.”
Since Ruby’s arrival, Charlotte and Gavin have been inundated with visitors and well-wishers at their Welsh home.
The webmaster added: “Charlotte said that they have spent the weekend receiving family and friends and everything is fine with both her and Ruby.”
Charlotte’s grandparents, George and Maria Cooper, are among those who have visited the new baby, and Maria gushed afterwards: “She is my first great-grandchild and she is beautiful. Charlotte and Gavin are tired but
doing fine.”
