Jamie Spears will have control over all of his daughter’s finances and other aspects of her life until July 31, a judge ruled in an unscheduled hearing yesterday (05.03.08).
Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini said: “I can confirm that the order was issued this afternoon.”
The temporary conservatorship had been due to expire on March 10 and sources claim hearings are still scheduled on that date and on March 17. Jamie has been legally in control of the Toxic singer’s life since February 1, following her admission to a Los Angeles psychiatric ward.
Sources say Britney is happy with the ruling as it is helping rebuild her relationship with her father. A source said: “She is getting along well with her father and enjoying the closeness and support of her family.”
Last month, Britney was reunited with her two sons, Sean, two, and 17-month-old Jayden James. The singer – whose ex-husband Kevin Federline has temporary full custody of the boys – lost all her visitation rights following a stand-off with police on January 3.
