BANKSY joins fellow Brits Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter in the list of nominees for this year’s Oscars, which was released today.

The cult graffiti artist has a nod for his short film, Exit Through the Gift Shop, while Firth is up for a Best Actor award and Helena Bonham Carter for Best Supporting Actress, both for The King’s Speech.

Including Firth’s and Bonham Carter’s nominations, The King’s Speech has 12 chances to win Oscars, while True Grit has ten and Social Network and Inception eight apiece.

Elsewhere, both Danny Boyle and Mike Leigh feature in the screenplay categories, for 127 Hours and Another Year respectively.
