The Rehab singer has been asked to perform alongside the rapper, his wife Beyonce Knowles, Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards tomorrow night (28.06.08).

Amy, 24, will appear on the Pyramid stage just before headliner Jay-Z – who has invited her to join him and help make sure his set is something special.

A source told the Daily Mirror: “Jay-Z wants an amazing headline show and has gone through his address book to ask his famous friends to join him. He thinks Amy is fantastic and thought it would be the perfect chance to work with her.”

Amy’s manager has confirmed the troubled star will also perform at Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday concert tonight (27.06.08).

She is expected to sing Love is a Losing Game and Tears Dry on Their Own, and may even perform a special rendition of Happy Birthday for the former South African president.

The news dispels fears Amy wouldn’t be well enough to play after being hospitalised last week and diagnosed with scarring on her lungs.

Meanwhile, Amy has reportedly turned down a substantial offer to write her autobiography – insisting her new songs will reveal all.

A source told the Daily Star: “As far as book advances go, it was absolutely staggering. But she thought the idea was ludicrous and turned it down outright. Firstly, she feels she’s far too young at 24 and, secondly, when she does get round to publishing her life story she wants to write it herself. She doesn’t need a ghost writer.”
