They didn’t get it quite right with the “living in” bit, but, if this week is anything to go by, 80s popsters Living in a Box were onto something with their single, also titled Living in a Box.

Come October, there will be a new shopping mall in east London made up entirely of the boxes that ships use to carry the world’s merchandise, like DVD players, kids toys and Class A drugs.

You can see it here and it looks pretty cool. You could probably get half the containers at Boxpark for the price of a box at the Royal Albert Hall, one of which went on sale last week for £550,000. Sounds a lot, but with a lease of 865 years, it compares well to just 8 seasons living in an executive box at Arsenal’s Emirates stadium (£70,000 a year).

Plus, from the Albert Hall box, the long lease means you have nearly a millennium of shows and acts full of surprising twists and turns, while Boxpark is definitely all going to be torn down in five years time and over at Arsenal, you know every season will end empty handed.
