Volunteer home-care worker Nishina Rika pays a visit to an elderly patient called Sachie and is shocked to find the old woman bed-ridden and in a state of terrified shock. Checking the house, Rika opens a closet secured with duct tape to find a young boy and a black cat. Flashing back several days, Sachie's son Katsuya returns home from work to find his wife Kazumi also trapped in a seemingly catatonic state. He senses a malevolent presence in the room and turns to find himself staring into the soulless eyes of a boy.
