Documentary about Jerry McGill, a 1960s rock’n’roll musician from Memphis, who gave up his chance to reach the upper echelons of the music industry in order to enjoy the ill-gotten gains from a gun-toting life of crime. The film meets McGill as he emerges from prison to record a follow-up to this 1959 single, Lovestruck. It’s not longer before the ex-con is kicking up a storm once again, seemingly hell-bent on self-destruction.
