In 1989, film director Howard Brookner died shortly before the completion of his first fiction feature, Bloodhounds Of Broadway. He had already made two documentaries, Burroughs and Robert Wilson And The Civil Wars, but this third picture was to be his breakthrough. In an effort to memorialise this forgotten filmmaker, Howard’s nephew Aaron Brookner pores over footage which has been untouched for decades and interviews the people who knew the filmmaker.
