Young priest Don Fabijan arrives on an island in the Adriatic, where the birth rate is perilously low, threatening to decimate future congregations. So Don Fabijan colludes with the local pharmacist Marin to abolish birth control and he joins forces with newsagent Petar to pierce condoms before they are sold so that women stand the best chance of falling pregnant. These covert actions set in motion a complicated chain of events far beyond the control of Don Fabijan and his accomplices.
