Intricately constructed ensemble piece which considers the treatment of women in modern day Iran. Arezou and Nargess are granted temporary leave from prison. They don’t have the necessary identification, so are subject to constant police scrutiny, which is easily avoided by hiding in alleyways. Both women hope to leave Tehran and travel into the countryside, but bus fares are expensive and they have limited means to raise the necessary money.
