Satire criticising president Silvio Berlusconi, centred on hapless film producer Bruno, whose professional failures mirror his disintegrating marriage to actress Paola. On a whim, Bruno agrees to produce a film by first time screenwriter Teresa called The Caiman. The script turns out to be a critique of Berlusconi, and Bruno struggles to arrange financing in the face of staunch opposition from the state broadcaster, RAI.
