Documentary filmmaker Lian Lunson celebrates the enduring musical legacy of songwriter and poet Leonard Cohen, who emerged as a strong creative force in the ’60s. Travelling to Sydney in January 2005, the director films the Came So Far For Beauty tribute show at the Sydney Opera House, organized by music producer Hal Willner, including performances from the likes of Nick Cave, Jarvis Cocker, The Handsome Family, Kate & Anna McGarrigle, Beth Orton, Martha Wainwright and Rufus Wainwright, plus a special performance of “Tower Of Song” by Cohen and U2. Candid interviews with the man himself intercut the performances, revealing the inspiration for his work and his extraordinary life story.
