Lauren Reynolds is a single mother with two young sons, Brendan and Tyler, who isn’t sure that she will ever find love again. Single father Jim Friedman is in a similar position, always putting the happiness of his three daughters Hilary, Espn and Lou ahead of his own. Following a disastrous blind date, Lauren and Jim vow never to see each other again. Instead, both parents take their respective broods to a luxurious African safari resort. As fate would have it, Lauren and Jim end up sharing a suite.
