Tiger cubs Kumal and Sangha roam freely with their parents in the jungles of 1920s French Indochina. The family unit is wrenched apart by tomb raider Aidan McRory, who kills the cubs’ father during an expedition to steal an ancient statue. The human then captures and sells Kumal to an evil circus trainer called Zerbino, condemning the poor creature to a life of incarceration and cruelty. Meanwhile, Sangha is adopted as the pet of a boy called Raoul.
