Aloys Adorn runs a small private detective agency with his father, accepting cases which usually involve lots of surveillance. When the old man dies, Aloys copes with his grief by continuing his solitary existence as if nothing has changed. Heading home on the bus one day, Aloys realises that a bag continuing recordings has been stolen. Soon after, a mysterious woman called Vera makes contact and threatens to send the recordings to the relevant people unless Aloys takes part in telephone therapy sessions.
