Dr Jenny Davin is horrified to learn from local police that an African immigrant, who banged on the doors of her surgery in Liege after hours, has been found dead on the banks of the river Meuse. The victim's skull is fractured and Jenny is consumed with guilt, wondering if the immigrant might be alive if she had only answered the buzzer and let the woman in. In between helping her nervous intern Julien to find his feet, Jenny decides to help the police to learn what happened to the immigrant.
