EastEnders newcomer tries towel seduction technique on Masood

EastEnders' new character Ayesha Rana will attempt to seduce married Masood Ahmed wearing just her bath towel.

The Walford newcomer - a daughter of one of the Masood family's friends, played by Shivani Ghai - has been flirting with the postman in recent weeks, but finally makes a play for him after stepping seductively out of the shower in only a towel.

The brazen Geordie attempts to lure Masood (Nitin Ganatra) into bed at a time when the father-of-four is trying to get back on track with wife Zainab (Nina Wadia), and it's unsure whether he'll be able to resist temptation.

Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Ganatra explained: "Masood's in a real dilemma. Whether you're a man or a woman, if you've been in a relationship for 30 years, it does take the excitement out of things.

"So for a young lady to emerge from his bathroom and say, 'Take me, I'm yours', of course he's tempted."

Masood has been trying to keep Ayesha's recent behaviour from his wife, thinking he can handle the situation, but in true EastEnders fashion, the enduring family may be in store for another scandal.

Ganatra added: "I don't think Masood realises the seriousness of it all until it steps up a gear in this way."

With Wadia due to quit the soap in February, viewers will be wondering if Zainab is to leave Walford with a broken heart.
