Pixies O2 tickets go on sale. Photo Credit: freschwell. C.C. License. TICKETS for the Pixies' run of shows at the O2 go on sale today (Friday 3 July).

Lead singer Black Francis aka Frank Black and co. will play a four-night residency at the Greenwich venue in October following a summer of festival fun when they take on both the Isle of Wight festival and the Where The Action Is event in Sweden.

The four nights at the O2 running from 6 October coincide with the 20th birthday of the Pixies hugely influential third album Doolittle.

They are due to work on a new release next year.
