Lily Allen, Elton John friends again

LILY ALLEN and Sir Elton John have declared peace a year after their war of words at the GQ awards.
The Smile singer was all, um, smiles last night at the Elton John Aids Foundation Winter Ball, where she was chosen to design a cocktail bar that was later auctioned for £100,000.
Given that last night's main event for celebland residents was the X Factor final, Allen's decision to pal up to Sir Elton was all the more forgiving.
At those GQ awards in 2008, Sir Elton had taunted Allen, while the pair were on stage together, with mocking references to heavy drinking and cocaine use. She resorted to telling him to "f*** off".
Other guests at the £350 a head do included Tracey Emin, Liz Hurley, Kelly Rowland and The Saturdays.
