Boy George found guilty

False imprisonment charge sticks; sentencing comes later

BOY GEORGE has been found guilty of falsely imprisoning Audun Carlsen, a male escort.

The jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court decided in favour of the 26-year-old Norwegian, who told the court he was chained up and beaten by George and a friend in George's Shoreditch flat. He was there for a nude photo session.

The singer, real name George O'Dowd, didn't appear at the trial, but had denied the charge, telling police he handcuffed Carlsen simply in order to find out if he had interfered with his computer.

Boy George is set to be be sentenced early next year.
