Some of us raise charity by not shaving for a week. Others promise to run for a few miles. The worthy run a marathon.
Pah and double pah. The really brave are out there right now rowing across the Atlantic to raise awareness and funds for their chosen charities.
Among the 17 crews rising to the 'Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge' (see video below) are Row2Recovery, a team of six injured ex army veterans.
If they make it they'll have travelled 3,000 miles of ocean and spent at least 50 days at sea, including both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
So here's a wee-dram toast from LondonNet that Row2Recovery and their competitors make it to the finish in Barbados safe and well.
