The mezzo-soprano joins the ensemble to perform Weber's Grand Duo In E Flat For Clarinet And Piano, Schubert's Auf Dem Strom For Soprano, Horn And Piano, Respighi's Il Tramonto For Soprano And String Quartet and Beethoven's String Quartet In F Minor 'Serioso'.
WEBER Grand Duo in E flat Op.48 for clarinet and piano SCHUBERT Auf dem Strom for soprano, horn and piano RESPIGHI Il Tramonto for soprano and string quartet BEETHOVEN String Quartet in F minor Op.95 Serioso 'Rising Star' (BBC Music Magazine) and recipient of numerous awards, mezzo-soprano Anna Huntley joins Ensemble 360 for an evening of chamber music and song. Turbulence and beauty mingle in this dramatic programme. Schubert's Auf dem Strom (On the River) is dominated by thoughts of Beethoven, including a quote from the Eroica Symphony in tribute to the great man. Respighi's gloriously expressive Il Tramonto is a setting of Shelley's romantic love story The Sunset. Despite its name, the Serioso Quartet is impetuous, ending with some of the swiftest and most exhilarating music ever written for string quartet.
