The duchess was shown how to make special Easter cookies when she visited Marshfield Bakery yesterday (05.02.08) and impressed staff with her own efforts.

Sarah Tudgay, from Trowbridge, who makes shortbread at the bakery, told the Daily Mail: “I took her through what I did for my job. She was very nice and polite. I saw her preparing the biscuits, she was very good. Perhaps she could come and work for us!”

Camilla – who had to don a white hat and coat for health and safety reasons when she entered the baking area – was so good supervisor Kay Ralph joked she was concerned about her own position at the company.

He laughed: “She was very good – we’re worried she could be after our jobs!”

Meanwhile, Charles visited the kitchens of Chelsea’s Royal Brompton Hospital
yesterday. Charles – who was also required to wear a white coat and hat for hygiene reason – learnt about the organic food which is sourced locally and served to patients at the hospital.
