Red Bull Air Race World Series returns to London for a second year.

Over 50,000 spectators witnessed the Red Bull Air Race over London in 2007 and that success is set to be followed this year when planes again fly low over the Thames at speeds close to 250mph.

Like last time around, the action takes place between Canary Wharf and The O2 through a series of ‘air gates’. The race is the sixth leg of a nine-part World Series dubbed “the world’s fastest and most exciting motor sport”.

Ticketed spectators will be able to view the action from the banks of the river as pilots, including Brits Paul Bonhomme, Steve Jones and Nigel Lamb, cope with forces of up to 10G.

The Red Bull Air Race takes place on 2nd & 3rd August 2008. Ticket details will be available www.redbullairrace.com.
