The legendary red slippers – on loan from Washington DC’s Smithsonian – and the blue and white dress the star wore in The Wizard of Oz are to go on show at the V&A from 20 October in a new exhibition called Hollywood Costume. ‘This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the ruby slippers outside of America,’ said the V&A’s Martin Roth.
