A woman from Kent who volunteered to run naked through London Zoo in aid of tigers has admitted she is “absolutely petrified”.

Ramsgate couple Lynn Nettleingham and husband Paul are to run in the altogether as part of the Streak for Tigers event at the Regent’s Park zoo on 15 August, which aims to raise funds to help preserve endangered Sumatran tigers.

“I’m absolutely petrified, but I’m more passionate about helping the tigers,” Lynn told kentnews.co.uk.

London Zoo has its own Sumatran tigers in the new Tiger Territory exhibit and co-ordinates the global scheme to save tigers as a wild species. It estimates the world’s sumatran tiger population has shrunk by 95% over the last ten years.

As well as hosting the saucy tiger streak – details of how to take part here – the zoo also has regular comedy, cabaret and carousel nights on Fridays.
