BORIS JOHNSON has taken a swipe at Tube Lines, the company that wants more time to complete the overhaul of the Jubilee Line.

“Tube Lines must get its act together,” said the London Mayor.
“I am hugely frustrated at their progress to date.”
For two and a half years, the Jubilee line has been closed for upgrade work on weekends and now Tube Lines wants to carry on that closure programme beyond the end of this year, apparently breaking an agreement with the mayor’s office.
“Tube Lines’ hunger for more Jubilee Line closures has stretched the patience of Londoners and business almost to breaking point,” fumed Johnson.
For Tube Lines, a spokesperson explained that the extra time needed was less than a week:
“We are asking for just five more days of access over the next four months.”
