London Transport Museum, London

The museum occupies the site of a former flower market shed to the east side of Covent Garden’s Piazza. It was re-opened in 1993 after a prolonged refurbishment. Buses, trains and trams abound in this child friendly museum. Exhibits date from the 1820s to the present day bringing to life the evolving nature of the capital’s famous transport system. An original Shillibeer Horse Omnibus and early tube carriages make sure this museum offers the lot for the everyday travel buff.
